Nutritious Honey Baked Salmon with Dijon Mustard

This baked salmon with Dijon mustard recipe is easy, nutritious, and done in under 20 minutes! The salmon is perfectly baked and glazed with a zesty honey mustard sauce that is so flavorful! Recipe also includes helpful tips on keeping the salmon extremely moist!

Ingredients

Dijon mustard salmon

  • 1 pound salmon
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • ½ teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • non-stick spray

Garnish

  • lemon wedges

Instructions

  • Fill the bottom of the BROILER PAN with water. Preheat oven to 400° F and put the bottom of the broiler pan with the water in the oven as it preheats.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, dried rosemary, lemon pepper seasoning, and salt and pepper to taste.
  • When the oven is done preheating, remove the BROILER PAN with water and put the top part of the BROILER PAN on top. Spray non-stick spray on top of the broiler pan.
  • Put the salmon, skin side down, on top of the BROILER PAN. Spread the honey mustard sauce all over the salmon including the top and sides of the salmon.
  • Bake the salmon for 18-20 minutes. Garnish with lemon wedges when serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  1. For this recipe, I used Fresh Atlantic Salmon and French’s Dijon Mustard with Chardonnay for the best combination. See the Key Ingredients – Baked Salmon with Dijon Mustard for further discussion.
  2. I used dried rosemary in this recipe, however, freshly chopped rosemary can be used instead. A good rule of thumb is to use 3x the amount of fresh herbs compared to dried herbs. For example, 1 tablespoon of fresh rosemary is equivalent to one teaspoon of dried rosemary.
