Equipment

  • 6 6-ounce glasses
  • Wilton 2D tip

Ingredients

Creme de Menthe Parfait

  • 1 quart French Vanilla ice cream 3 scoops per glass
  • 12 tablespoons creme de menthe 2 Tbsp per glass
  • mint leaves optional
  • maraschino cherries optional
  • mini chocolate chips optional

Whipped Cream

  • ½ cup whipping cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar sifted
  • dash of vanilla
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

Whipped Cream

  • Mix on high-speed the whipping cream until it begins to thicken. Gradually add the powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt. Mix until firm and fluffy. Remember to not overmix the whipped cream, or it will become chunky.

Creme de Menthe Parfait

  • Put one tablespoon of creme de menthe at the bottom of each 6-ounce glass. Put 3 rounded scoops of ice cream on top.
  • Put another tablespoon of creme de menthe on top of the ice cream.
  • Either pipe or scoop the whipped cream on top of the ice cream. Garnish with a maraschino cherry, mini chocolate chips, and a mint leaf. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

  1. If you don't want to make the whipped cream, you can buy whipped cream from the store. If making, make sure to do this step first before assembling as you need to work fast with the ice cream. Depending on how much whipped cream you want to add to each glass, consider doubling the whipped cream recipe. (Everyone loves extra!)
  2. For a swirled, piped design of whipped cream on top of the ice cream, I used the Wilton 2D piping tip.
  3. If you don't have a 6-ounce glass, please feel free to use what you have. Martini glasses or tulip sundae glasses are also good choices. Adjust the measurements accordingly to fit in the glass.
