7-Ingredient Lemon Pasta Recipe No Cream | 15-Minutes Only

If you have 15-minutes, you can easily make this lemon pasta recipe no cream dish! Only 7 basic ingredients, for a quick toss together pasta full of that lemon flavor! This simple recipe is seriously way too easy, but tastes oh so good!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces angel hair pasta
  • juice from ½ a lemon plus more for seasoning
  • ¾ cup chicken broth
  • 4 garlic cloves minced and peeled
  • ½ teaspoon red chili flakes plus more for seasoning
  • cup chopped parsley
  • olive oil to taste

Optional

  • salt and pepper to taste
  • shredded parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta according to directions. Before the water starts to boil, add about a tablespoon of salt and olive oil into the water. Stir the pasta to prevent sticking and drain when ready.
  • In a LARGE ELECTRIC SKILLET or sauté pan, add olive oil over medium heat. Once heated, brown the minced garlic cloves for 1-2 minutes.
  • Once the garlic cloves starts to brown, add the chicken broth and lemon juice to the pan. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add the cooked pasta, red chili flakes, and chopped parsley to the pan. Combine well. Season with additional red chili flakes, a drizzle of olive oil, and lemon juice if desired. Optional - Top the pasta with salt and pepper, and shredded parmesan when serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  1. When serving, have some extra lemon wedges on the side for guest that may want extra.
  2. If you would like to further coat the pasta or if you did have leftovers (you most likely wouldn’t!), drizzle some olive oil on top when serving! The olive oil will prevent dryness and refreshes this tasty dish.
