Ingredients

  • Trader Joe's Middle Eastern Flatbreads
  • 1 Honeycrisp apple peeled and diced
  • 1 Granny Smith apple peeled and diced
  • Trader Joe’s Julienne Sliced Sun Dried Tomatoes in Olive Oil
  • crumbled blue cheese
  • shredded parmesan cheese
  • Trader Joe's Spanish Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil Non Stick Cooking Spray or olive oil
  • unsalted butter

Toppings When Serving

  • fresh basil roughly chopped
  • red pepper flakes
  • honey

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Using the apple slicer to dice the apples, sauté the diced apples in a non-stick pan with unsalted butter and honey until softened.
  • Coat each side of the flatbreads with the Trader Joe's Spanish Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil Non Stick Cooking Spray or use olive oil using a pastry brush to brush each side. Lightly score the flatbreads on each side (without going all the way through!) with a knife.
  • Line a baking pan with aluminum foil. Bake the flatbreads for 7-8 minutes until lightly golden brown and bubbly.
  • Remove the flatbreads from the oven and top with the softened apples, Trader Joe’s Julienne Sliced Sun Dried Tomatoes in Olive Oil, crumbled blue cheese, and shredded parmesan cheese. Bake for another 5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  • Add the chopped fresh basil, red pepper flakes, and a drizzle of honey to the flatbreads. Serve warm. Enjoy!

Notes

  1. We used the Trader Joe's Middle Eastern Flatbreads in this recipe. It doesn't need to be this brand, but please use an individual size circular flatbread. Using 2 diced apples, will yield 4-5 individual flatbread pizzas combined with the other toppings.
  2. When crisping up the flatbreads you may notice bubbles start to appear on the crust. Completely normal! To prevent LARGE bubbles that take the majority of the flatbread, lightly score with a knife the flatbread in this apple pizza recipe.
  3. There is no need for measurements in this recipe. Top each flatbread with your desired amount. Simple and easy!
