Get your greens in with this easy broccoli stir fry recipe done in one pan with a Filipino twist! With only 3 types of seasonings used, each broccoli floret is bursting with a tart and zesty flavor! Budget-friendly and economical!
Add olive oil to a medium-size sauté pan over medium-low heat. Once the oil is hot, add the broccoli florets and coat the broccoli with the olive oil for 2 minutes.
Add ¼ cup of water to the pan. Cover and simmer for 4-5 minutes.
Remove the cover and add the minced garlic, chili sesame oil, lemon juice, and salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another 3 minutes on low heat, stirring gently. Enjoy!
Notes
You’ll find that after the broccoli has had a chance to simmer in the pan, the broccoli becomes soft and tender. Be very careful mixing the broccoli in the pan! Literally once you add the seasoning and sauces, you only need to give the florets a quick stir and you’re done!
